Traveling to Chicago
We had a 3-day trip to Chicago, a famous city in Illinois. It’s not far from Michigan and is convenient to get there.
→ Day 1
I got up at 5:30 and depart at 6 AM. We took a bus to the train station. Surprisingly, the train station is small comparing to any train station in China.
Ann Arbor Morning and Train Station
People are waiting for the train
Spoiler
Chicago Union Station is much larger than this. Ann Arbor train station is small because it is a small town.
The most surprising thing is that they didn’t check your bags. They even scan your tickets after you get on the train. In China, this is incredible.
The train delayed about 10 minutes and arrived 30 minutes after its estimating time. This is a common case of Amtrak trains. They always delay.
Anyway, we arrived at half past 11. The first impression is that there are so many beautiful high buildings. Chicago was more modern than I thought, and it was almost as busy as New York.
